Hi I’m Corey – I started Backstory Productions over a decade ago from a belief that every story deserves to be told with passion and excellence.

Coming from a writing background, I've honed my storytelling skills through diverse experiences spanning from the streets of NYC to heart of Africa. My journey has taught me greatly about the value of diverse perspectives in creative endeavors. Along the way, I've seen firsthand the incredible impact of authentic, human stories.

Most of all, I'm beyond grateful to everyone who's entrusted me with their story. It's a privilege I don't take lightly.

Francesca DeLutis | Producer

LA-based producer with experience creating content for Subaru, Netflix, Citibank, Purina, Amazon, BuzzFeed, MotorTrend, and Google. Her projects span the U.S., Asia, Europe, and South America.
Nour Sabbagh | Creative Director

Lebanese-born, Paris-raised, and NY-based creative director. Multilingual and curious, Nour excels at turning ideas into sustainable realities for her collaborators. She loves playing with words and shapes, values transparent processes, and seeks projects that challenge her and create a positive impact.
Charles Billot | Director, DP, & Photographer

NYC-based director, DP, and photographer who grew up in Asia, where he developed a passion for film using a 1970s camera. In Europe, he honed his skills in video editing and directing. Worked in post-production advertising in Paris, before moving to New York to specialize in fashion and music videos.
Nick Neofitidis | Director of Photography

NYC-based, Emmy Award-winning Director of Photography and Editor with nearly two decades of experience in TV, film, sports, and Broadway. His work has been showcased on HBO, Netflix, Vice, and MTV, where he launched his career.
Robin Julia Theime | Producer

Based in Miami, Robin has spent the last seven years working with some of the very best media outlets in international and national television news. Fluent in English, German, and French, she adeptly interacts with and advises clients in their native languages.
Edward Bally | Director of Photography

NYC-based, award-winning Director of Photography and Editor holding a MA in International Journalism from City University of London. Started as an investigative journalist covering economic and political stories in Europe. With over fifteen years of experience capturing news and documentaries, he brings a creative and thoughtful style to projects across Film, TV, and Digital Video.
